The following character of him [Lord Sandwich, First Lord of
the Admiralty] from one of Mr. O'Bryen's poems, seems
perfectly just, without and redundancy of panegyrick.
  And when retired to that mysterious shore, 
  Where Fox's thunder shall alarm no more, 
  Let Sandwich bear this tribute to his grave, 
  Gift of no sordid wretch, or purchas'd knave,
